At Extreme Networks, we believe that diversity and inclusion are not just ideals, but essential pillars of our success as a company. Our commitment to fostering a workplace that values both our individual and collective differences is woven into our culture and business practices. Extreme strives to create an environment where all employees thrive because of their unique perspectives, experiences, and backgrounds – not in spite of them.
This Black History Month, we’re highlighting one of the impactful ways in which we bring these values to life: our employee resource group (ERG) for African American & Black employees, Black@Extreme (BEX).
Black@Extreme, one of our many cultural ERGs, facilitates a community and collaborative space for African American & Black employees and allies to connect, share experiences, and champion workplace diversity. Through this ERG, we cultivate an atmosphere that encourages the sharing of diverse perspectives that drive innovation and better business outcomes at Extreme.
We asked some of our employees and BEX members to share their thoughts on the importance of diversity and inclusion in the workplace and their experiences at Extreme. Their stories underscore the value of celebrating diversity both within and outside the workplace:
Black History MonthAs we celebrate Black History Month, we are reminded that our dedication to diversity and inclusion is an ongoing journey. Through initiatives like BEX and the unwavering support of our leadership, Extreme is facilitating a workplace culture where every single employee can thrive. This month and every month, we reaffirm our commitment to creating an inclusive environment that values the unique contributions of every individual.
