Extreme Networks is proud to announce that we have earned a top score of 100 on the 2025 Disability Equality Index®, officially designating us as a “Best Place to Work for Disability Inclusion.” This recognition represents more than an achievement—it underscores our core values and our vision of building a workplace where inclusion is not just encouraged but embedded in everything we do.

About the Disability Equality Index

The Disability Equality Index, developed by Disability:IN and the American Association of People with Disabilities (AAPD), is the nation’s most comprehensive benchmarking tool for corporate disability inclusion. The index evaluates a company’s performance across six categories:

  • Culture & Leadership
  • Enterprise-Wide Access
  • Employment Practices
  • Community Engagement
  • Supplier Diversity
  • Technology Accessibility

A score of 100 indicates not only full alignment with best practices, but also leadership in creating an equitable and accessible workplace for people of different abilities.

Inclusion as a catalyst for innovation

At Extreme Networks, we believe that inclusion drives innovation. We recognize that people with disabilities bring valuable perspectives, adaptability, and lived experiences that strengthen teams and fuel progress. Our inclusive practices don’t just support individuals—they help shape better products, smarter designs, and more responsive service for our customers and communities.

Disability inclusion is not about compliance—it’s about competitive advantage. It enhances our agility, strengthens our workforce, and positions us to better meet the needs of a diverse, global customer base.

The role of the Abilities Alliance ERG

A significant part of this achievement can be credited to the leadership and advocacy of the Abilities Alliance Employee Resource Group (ERG). This employee-led group has helped drive real change across the organization through initiatives focused on accessibility, education, and empowerment.

Their efforts have supported:

  • Inclusive recruitment and retention programs
  • Accessibility in technology platforms and internal systems
  • Training and resources to support employees with disabilities
  • Strategic partnerships with disability-focused organizations
  • A culture of empathy, awareness, and allyship company-wide

The ERG’s commitment to fostering dialogue and dismantling barriers has had a meaningful impact—not only on those with disabilities, but on the entire organization. While there is always work to be done, Extreme is committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees, and we are proud of what our ERG teams have helped us achieve.

Investing in our future workforce

This recognition is not just a celebration of where we are today. It is a clear signal of the kind of company we are building for tomorrow.

As the workforce continues to evolve, our commitment to accessibility and equity helps ensure that Extreme Networks remains a destination for the best talent—regardless of physical, cognitive, or neurological differences. By creating an environment where everyone can contribute fully, we are laying the foundation for long-term innovation, growth, and resilience.

We know that future leaders, engineers, developers, and visionaries will come from all walks of life. By supporting disability inclusion today, we are investing in the strength of our workforce for years to come.

We don’t achieve greatness despite disability—we achieve greatness because of it

Extreme Networks does not view disability inclusion as a separate initiative. It is woven into our identity, our operations, and our strategy. The individuals who make our products smarter, our teams stronger, and our company better—many of them do so while navigating visible and invisible disabilities. Their contributions are essential, not exceptional.

We achieve greatness not in spite of disability inclusion, but because of it.

A message to our industry and our community

To our peers in the technology industry: This is the future of work. Creating equitable and accessible workplaces isn’t just the right thing to do—it’s a business imperative. We encourage every organization to join us in advancing disability inclusion and championing the power of diversity in all its forms.

To our employees and future team members: know that at Extreme Networks, you are seen, supported, and valued. Your voice matters. Your experience matters. And you belong here.

Looking ahead

While we’re honored to receive this distinction, we view it not as the finish line but as a foundation. We are committed to continuous improvement, ongoing education, and the pursuit of ever greater equity and access across our organization.

At Extreme Networks, we don’t just build technology—we build a workplace where people can thrive. Together, we are setting the standard for what inclusive innovation looks like, today and in the future.
