Senior Resident Engineer for the Commonwealth of Kentucky

Jason Collins serves as the Senior Resident Engineer for the Commonwealth of Kentucky at Extreme Networks, where he combines technical expertise with a deep commitment to equity and inclusion.

Jason is the Chair of the Abilities Alliance ERG, where he leads company-wide initiatives focused on accessibility, disability inclusion, and workplace belonging. His efforts have helped elevate the voices of employees with diverse abilities and champion a more inclusive culture across the organization. Through collaboration, education, and advocacy, Jason ensures that inclusion is not just a value—it’s a daily practice.

In his engineering role, Jason supports critical networking and cybersecurity infrastructure for public sector organizations, drawing from decades of experience supporting companies globally. He holds certifications across multiple cybersecurity platforms and is a proud member of InfraGard, a public-private partnership with the FBI focused on securing critical infrastructure, which he joined in 2008.

A passionate communicator, Jason regularly writes LinkedIn articles on emerging security issues, offering insights to help businesses stay informed and resilient. His writing blends practical expertise with a storyteller’s touch, making complex topics accessible to broad audiences.

Outside of Extreme, Jason is deeply rooted in his hometown of Lawrenceburg, Kentucky, where he lives with his wife of 27 years and their daughter. He also serves as Chairman of the Board for Anderson County Schools and Deputy Fire Chief for the City of Lawrenceburg, demonstrating his commitment to leadership, safety, and community development.
