Extreme’s AP5060 Series brings Wi-Fi 7 performance to the toughest high-density outdoor environments, delivering the bandwidth, reliability, and environmental durability required by stadiums, arenas, transportation hubs, and large enterprise campus deployments. With a quad-radio design delivering 4x4:4 MIMO across 2.4 GHz, 5 GHz, and 6 GHz—plus a dedicated tri-band sensor—the AP5060 Series delivers exceptional performance with aggregate data rates up to 23 Gbps, and real-time RF visibility in the harshest deployment scenarios. Its IP67 weatherized enclosure and extended -40°C to +60°C (-40°F to 140°F) operating range ensure reliable connectivity in the harshest environmental conditions.

Designed for high-density client populations and mission-critical operations, the AP5060 leverages multi-band filtering, cellular coexistence filtering (CCF), and Wi-Fi 7 capabilities including 320 MHz channels, MLO, OFDMA, and 4K QAM to maximize spectrum efficiency. Whether supporting tens of thousands of mobile clients, high-volume IoT devices, or venue operations, the AP5060 provides consistent throughput and low-latency performance. It can deliver full Wi-Fi performance when powered via 802.3at (PoE+), simplifying switch support with limited power options.

The AP5060 Series is built for operational flexibility. With software-defined radios, multiple operating modes, and seamless management through Extreme Platform ONE* or ExtremeCloud IQ, IT teams can tailor performance to the environment while maintaining enterprise-grade security and policy enforcement. Combined with integrated BLE/Zigbee/Thread IoT radios and AFC support for standard power on 6 GHz**, the AP5060 delivers the foundation for next-generation wireless experiences.

Wi-Fi 7 (802.11be) introduces benefits across the 2.4 GHz, 5 GHz, and 6 GHz bands with reduced latency and jitter for time-sensitive networking applications. Wi-Fi 7 capabilities such as 320 MHz channels, 4K-QAM, and Multi-Link Operation (MLO) helps enable superior speeds and high-density performance. The 6 GHz** band enables improved quality of service (QoS) in dense environments, new applications and use cases, and an improved user experience.

**6 GHz operation is Country dependent

In conjunction with Extreme Management system, cloud or on-premises, the AP5060U and AP5060D provide a rich set of data displayed via widgets, representing historical data or a combination of historical and current data. This provides context-specific granularity with perspective views for locations, network, APs, individual client devices, and policy roles. In each context, administrators can adjust dashboards from a widget library.

To support both IoT and Guest Engagement services, the AP5060U and AP5060D integrate Bluetooth® Low Energy (BLE) to connect with IoT devices wirelessly to engage loyalty customers with Apple iBeacon. Enterprises can use API driven applications to send advertisements directly to shoppers, guests, and conference attendees. This makes it ideal for businesses to advertise their app download pages, captive portals, or site-specific information.

The Wi-Fi 7 AP5060U and AP5060D feature two distinct software-defined radio (SDR) modes for different deployment scenarios. Dual 5GHz and Dual 6GHz support high density deployments with a dedicated sensor. Featuring quad radios, it can transmit with multiple combinations of three data radios across the 2.4 GHz, 5 GHz, and 6 GHz bands in addition to an always-on dedicated tri-band sensor. The AP5060U/D models intelligently monitor the software configurable radios, enabling network managers to configure network RF technology based on the user environment and to configure the APs in different modes as required. The AP5060U/D feature superior tri-frequency radio performance with a multiband filter that reduces interference and enables 5 GHz and 6 GHz operation across all available channels without restriction.

The AP5060U and AP5060D are built with Extreme's Universal Hardware technology that allows multiple deployment use cases through a simple change of the software or feature set. This technology allows the user to choose between operating systems tailored to work with cloud- or controller-based management. The desired persona can be selected at startup or changed later. Universal hardware platforms increase flexibility and reduce obsolescence by allowing customers to gradually adopt new technologies without the need for a rip and replace approach to their hardware.

Offered with a Universal World SKU AP, the AP5060U or the AP5060D allows customers, partners, and distributors to order one model for any region where Extreme Networks products are sold, replacing the age-old problem of country-specific models.

As the Official Wi-Fi Solutions Provider of the National Football League (NFL) and Major League Baseball (MLB), Extreme understands that no two stadium environments are alike. Whether it’s field-level, bowl seating, gate entrances, concierge areas, parking lots, or temporary sites, the AP5060U and AP5060D offer flexible deployment options - from underseat and pole mounts to software-selectable antennas - ensuring seamless coverage and an exceptional mobile experience throughout the venue.

The AP5060U and AP5060D deliver the highest level of security services, beginning with support for the latest Wi-Fi Alliance WPA3 security certifications. It acts as an enforcement point for Extreme Platform ONE Security – the industry's most complete network access security solution. Extreme Platform ONE Security provides automated security policy enforcement and manages SSIDs to enforce policies on the AP5060U or AP5060D. Extreme Fabric adds additional security by automating provisioning and deployment by connecting to a Fabric-enabled switch. Additionally, the AP supports a stateful L2-L7 DPI firewall for context-based access security, tri-band security, a location analytics sensor, and much more.
