This document provides design guidance for deploying multi-area Fabric Connect/SPB networks. It also discusses how multi-area can be used to scale the network when migrating an existing (ERS) network to a Fabric Edge deployment (using a VOSS-enabled switch). A couple migration scenarios are discussed to show a seamless approach.
