Kimberley Basnight

Kimberley Basnight serves as Chief People Officer, driving global strategies that enhance employee experiences through training, mentorship, leadership development, recruitment, and cultural transformation. Under her leadership, Extreme has achieved continuous increases in employee engagement scores and promotion rates, and both voluntary turnover and time-to-hire have been reduced through streamlined recruitment and retention frameworks.

Basnight has over 20 years of experience in executive program management, strategic planning, organizational change management, and operations. She previously served as Chief of Staff in the Office of the CEO and Director of IT Program Management at Extreme. Before joining the company, she held leadership positions at Fortune 500 companies including IBM and Lenovo. Earlier in her career, Basnight was part of IBM’s pioneering Project Management Center of Excellence, where she helped implement project governance and training across its campus of over 10,000 employees.

Over her career, Basnight has led, implemented, and supported IT project management offices, establishing project governance, change management programs, and training for emerging project managers. She was honored as an Inspirational Woman in Tech by WeAreTechWomen in 2024 and regularly speaks at top HR and leadership conferences around the globe.

Basnight holds a Bachelor of Business Administration and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Information Systems from North Carolina Wesleyan University.
