Your network enables students and staff to access the internet and learning resources from anywhere on or around your campus, making security and reliability essential. From wireless infrastructure to network switches, Extreme provides you with everything you need to meet the standards set out by the Department for Education (DfE):

Network Switching Standards:

• Fast, reliable, and secure connections to all users both wired and wireless 
• A platform that can centrally manage the network switching infrastructure 
• Security features to protect from unauthorised access 
• Core network switches should be connected to at least one UPS to reduce the impact of outages
• Higher-speed (multi-gigabit) ports support devices and infrastructure equipment that needs high bandwidth 

Wireless Networks Standards (Wi-Fi 6E and above):

• Adoption of the latest Wi-Fi standard approved by the Wi-Fi Alliance
• Strong, consistent wireless coverage throughout all school buildings – and outdoor areas where needed
• Centralised network management for easier administration
• Built-in security features to prevent unauthorised access
• Ability for wireless network to be configured to support network segregation and QoS
