The 8000 Series is a very scalable modular switch. By selecting the appropriate set of modules, it can be configured for the following network requirements.

  • High-density 10G or GE switch, for high-performance data centers (8900 series modules)
  • High-density PoE switch, for converged enterprise edge (8000 c-series modules)
  • Scalable 10G or GE switch, for small, medium, or large enterprise cores (8000 c-series modules)
  • Cost-effective edge switch for the wiring closet (8500 series modules)
