With industry-leading performance for the most demanding applications, Summit48si has a non-blocking architecture with 17.5 gigabits of throughput with wire-speed performance on every port.
The Summit48si switch provides comprehensive edge security features such as MAC address security which allows identifying port abuse such as rogue wireless access points or hubs/switches on edge ports. It also provides Web- and MAC-based Network Login does not require any specific client software as well as IEEE 802.1x based authentication. Every user on every port can be authenticated so the network can be protected at the most sensitive point of attack—at the edge.
Multiple Supplicant (client) allows multiple clients to be individually authenticated on the same port. Summit48si series switches have wire-speed Layer 2-4 Access Control Lists (ACLs) on every port to maximize security while maintaining throughput.
- Quality of Service (QoS)
- Ethernet Automatic Protection Switching (EAPS) resiliency protocol
- Minimized Latency
- Non-Blocking Forwarding
- Network Login (MAC, HTTP and 802.1x) with multiple supplicant
- Hardened network infrastructure
Summit48si has 48-port 10/100BASE-TX and 2-port 1000BASE-X SFP uplink ports.
Summit48si has non-blocking switching fabric and offers wire-speed Layer 2/Layer 3 switching for all ports with Quality of Service and security features such as hardware based Access Control Lists (ACLs). With robust Layer 2-4 intelligence, Summit48si meets variety of requirements at the edge of the converged enterprise network.
- Non-blocking wire-speed architecture
- 17.5 Gbps switch fabric enabling all ports to operate at line-rate
- 4K port based, protocol based and MAC based VLANs
- 128K MAC addresses
- 8 hardware queues per port
- ACLs for optimal security and diverse traffic classification
Summit48si is deployed as a Fast Ethernet edge switch and can provide consistent quality and performance throughout your converged network while reducing operational inefficiencies.
