Management Team
Oscar Rodriguez,
President and CEO
Oscar Rodriguez serves as President and CEO of Extreme Networks® since August 2010, providing strategic leadership for the company as it delivers high performance Ethernet network solutions and services to enterprises, data center hosting companies and carriers. Rodriguez is an industry veteran with more than 20 years of executive leadership experience spanning sales, marketing and operations. Prior to Extreme Networks, Rodriguez served as the CEO of Movius Interactive Corporation, a messaging, collaboration and mobile media solutions company. Prior to Movius, Rodriguez served as Chief Marketing Officer for Alcatel-Lucent's Enterprise Business Group. Prior to that, Rodriguez served as CEO and President of Riverstone Networks, a network company focused on Metro Ethernet switching. Rodriguez also served as President of both the Enterprise Solutions division and the Intelligent Internet division at Nortel Networks. Rodriguez serves on the Board of Directors for EXAR Corporation, a Silicon Valley semiconductor company. Rodriguez is also on the Dean's Board of Advisors for the College of Engineering at the University of Central Florida. Rodriguez holds a B.S. in computer engineering from the University of Central Florida, and an MBA from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
Bob L. Corey,
Sr. Vice President and Chief Financial Officer
Bob Corey serves as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Extreme Networks. Corey brings more than
30 years of executive and financial management experience. Prior to joining Extreme
Networks, Corey served on its board of directors, from 2003 to 2009, where he was
the chairman of the audit committee. Prior to Extreme Networks, Mr. Corey served
in a variety of executive positions, most recently as Executive Vice President and
Chief Financial Officer for Thor Technologies, Inc. and Executive Vice President
and Chief Financial Officer of Documentum, Inc. Earlier in his career Mr. Corey
held senior financial executive positions with Forte Software, Ashton-Tate Corporation
and Western Digital Corporation. Mr. Corey also served as Chairman of the Board
of Directors of Interwoven, Inc. until its recent acquisition by Autonomy Corporation
plc, and will continue to serve on the Board of Directors of Veraz Networks as Chairman
of the Audit Committee. Corey holds a B.A. with a concentration in accounting from
California State University at Fullerton.
Paul Hooper,
Chief Marketing Officer
Paul A. Hooper leads as the company's Chief Marketing Officer. Hooper, a 15 year
veteran of the High Tech industry, oversees Extreme Networks worldwide marketing
efforts, where he leads the strategic focus of solutions and technical marketing,
global field marketing and corporate communications. Prior to that, he served as
Vice President and General Manager for the Volume Products Group, responsible for
the strategy, product development and business management for Extreme Networks’
Summit® family of fixed configuration switches, the BlackDiamond®
8800 family of modular switches, wireless LAN solution and security solutions. Hooper
also serves as Extreme Networks executive sponsor for data center and enterprise
LAN initiatives. Prior to that, as Extreme Networks Chief Information Officer, Hooper
oversaw the strategic use of IT systems and adherence to corporate compliance for
data throughout a globally distributed business. Specifically, Hooper led the planning,
procurement and ongoing support of business applications, network infrastructure
and related services supporting more than 800 employees across 50 countries. Prior
to joining Extreme Networks, Hooper served as vice president of information technology
at myCFO, Inc., where he was responsible for the Enterprise Applications and Infrastructure
for the fast-growing Financial Services and Advisory company. Hooper has also held
senior-level IT positions with JDS Uniphase, Netscape Communications and Sun Microsystems.
Suresh Gopalakrishnan,
Vice President of Engineering
Suresh Gopalakrishnan leads the company’s engineering team and is responsible for
all technology strategy and product development for Extreme Networks. Gopalakrishnan
leverages a rich background in business strategy, marketing, systems engineering
and product development to this role. Gopalakrishnan previously held the roles of
vice president and general manager of Scalable Products Group where he was responsible
for Extreme Networks’ carrier business; vice president and general manager of Emerging
Product Group where he was responsible for Extreme Networks’ wireless and security
business; Chief Marketing Officer of Extreme Networks where he was responsible for
worldwide marketing, product management and solutions marketing; as well as vice
president and general manager of Converged Systems, where he was responsible for
IP Telephony alliances. Prior to joining Extreme Networks, Gopalakrishnan was the
executive vice president of engineering at Riverstone Networks and served as the
director of corporate strategy at Cabletron Systems. Gopalakrishnan has also held
management positions at Sun Microsystems and engineering positions at Hewlett Packard.
Gopalakrishnan is a member of the Board of Expert Advisors of the California Emerging
Technology Fund (CETF) and has been an adjunct faculty member at University of Idaho
and Santa Clara University. He holds a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the
University of Idaho.
Frank Blohm,
Vice President of Worldwide Operations and Chief Quality Officer
Frank Blohm serves as Vice President of Worldwide Operations and Chief Quality Officer
for Extreme Networks where he leads the global supply chain organization and oversees
worldwide manufacturing, RMA service logistics, new product introduction, distribution
and logistics, product quality and corporate procurement. Frank also leads the company’s
corporate-wide quality programs and is responsible for ensuring global compliance
to all programs. Prior to Extreme Networks, Blohm was vice president of operations
at Sanmina-SCI, where he was responsible for the Custom Integration Division. Blohm
leverages more than 20 years experience in supply chain and operations for high
technology companies. Blohm has also held senior-level management positions with
Lucent Technologies, Octel Communications, and FMC Corporation. During his career
in the Silicon Valley, Blohm has led several Mergers and Acquisition projects. He
is actively associated with several operations and supply chain industry organizations.
Mike Seaton,
Vice President, Worldwide Sales and Services
Mike Seaton serves as Vice President for Worldwide Sales and Services at Extreme Networks, an organization that includes worldwide sales, channels and global customer support serving enterprise, data center and carrier customers. Mr. Seaton, a 20 year industry veteran, previously held the role of Vice President and General Manager of Worldwide Services for Extreme Networks, where he oversaw the delivery of technical support, education, advanced technical and professional services. Prior to that, Seaton was the Vice President of Sales Operations and Strategic Alliances, where he was responsible for ensuring that the benefit of combined solutions and a strategic relationship realized by Extreme Networks joint business partners and customers worldwide. Prior to joining Extreme Networks, Seaton held various positions at AT&T, Lucent Technologies and Avaya throughout his career. Seaton’s experience is highlighted by programming, services, sales, sales management, sales leadership, operations and internal business consulting. Seaton holds a BS in Mathematics from the University of Michigan and an MBA from Florida State University.
