Wi-Fi Coaches Descend on Super Bowl City in San Francisco

With one million visitors expected to arrive in San Francisco for the Big Game, the city has launched major plans to implement a wireless solution that allows fans to capture and share every moment of Game Week. Football fans, complete with their game-day apparel, coolers and good-luck charms, will have full access to Super Bowl City, an area temporarily taking over SF’s renowned Market Street, ahead of the game.

Wi-Fi Coaches Descend on Super Bowl City in San FranciscoThe Super Bowl Host 50 Committee opened Super Bowl City this past weekend, which includes over 20 activities, such as the Fan Energy Zone and The City Stage where several live performances will take place. Whether fans are taking in the view at the waterfront lounge or participating in the immersive motion capture games, they’ll undoubtedly want to document their fun.

Similar to how Peyton Manning needs Gary Kubiak and Cam Newton needs Ron Rivera, we’re making sure fans have the proper coaching to achieve all their Wi-Fi & mobile app needs. As part of this program, we’ll have over 100 certified onsite Wi-Fi Coaches to help fans with basic Wi-Fi connectivity, downloading fan enhancement apps and troubleshooting general device issues. This will be the second year in which Extreme Networks Certified Wi-Fi Coaches are involved with Game Week activities, and they will be readily available and equipped to help attendees enjoy this signature experience.

Super Bowl City will be open Saturday, January 30 to Sunday, February 7, from 11 a.m. – 9 p.m. (11 a.m. – 10 p.m. on Friday and Saturday), closing at 3 p.m. on Super Bowl Sunday.
