Welcome Ruben Sanchez and Eduardo Almeida to the Global Extreme Team!

We are excited to announce the appointment of two new regional sales directors to the Extreme team. It is my pleasure to welcome Eduardo Almeida as regional sales director for Brazil and the Southern Cone as well as Ruben Sanchez as regional sales director for Mexico.


Mr. Almeida and Mr. Sanchez will be focused on leveraging Extreme’s new solutions-based strategy, delivering complete solutions to customers across our portfolio of network management and application analytics integrated with our high-performance wired and wireless platforms. With these new hires we are looking forward to exceeding customer needs across industries, including education, healthcare, government, hospitality and manufacturing.


Mr. Almeida is a seasoned executive with over 20 years of experience in technology working for global enterprises including Cisco. As the senior director of sales & channels operations at Cisco, he provided strategic leadership to help drive long term growth and profitability for the company through marketing execution and new business models. He has held roles throughout Latin America and the U.S., and brings comprehensive industry expertise in financial services, energy, retail, manufacturing, service providers and the public sector.


Mr. Sanchez has extensive knowledge of the IT industry and the company, as he was previously responsible for providing leadership, strategic direction and development for Extreme’s distributors and partners in Latin America. Prior to Extreme Networks, he held successful leadership positions in sales and marketing with leading organizations such as AMD, Lenovo, Intel, Microsoft, Compaq Computer and IBM. He has a proven track record of success, winning multiple WW Best Business Practice Awards while at Microsoft. In addition, he has led high performing sales organizations who have consistently achieved double digit year-over-year growth.


Extreme Networks’ strategy of broadening its local presence in the Latin American region showcases our commitment as a global leader in wired and wireless solutions.  Mr. Almeida and Mr. Sanchez’s long track record of success will build on Extreme’s ability to continue to evolve our solutions while driving the company’s growth forward in a greater global capacity.
