Next week, the Extreme team is heading to Mobile World Congress (MWC) for the first time! Ahead of the event, we’ve outlined below all you need to know about the conference and what to expect from Extreme on the show floor. We hope to see you there in Barcelona!
What can attendees gain from MWC?
MWC is the world’s largest mobile technology conference. The event provides in-depth coverage of the industry’s present and future, highlighting specific growth areas and strategies, the latest technological developments and next-generation services.
Last year, a record-breaking 108,000 people from 208 countries attended the show, including more than 1,700 registered media. With thousands of people from different backgrounds all in one area discussing top industry trends, attendees can expect to gain a wealth of knowledge about the future of mobile technology. For those who visit Extreme’s booth, they can also expect to learn about the New Extreme.
What is the “New Extreme?”
In the last year, Extreme has completed acquisitions of Zebra’s WLAN business, Avaya’s networking business and Brocade’s data center business which has culminated in a remarkable turnaround and newfound position in the market as the #3 enterprise networking vendor in the world.
These acquisitions have expanded Extreme’s technology offerings to include best-in-class solutions from the data center all the way to the edge. Extreme has also expanded its customer base and partner network. Attending MWC as the New Extreme means we will be showcasing our industry leading solutions, support and services while demonstrating how we’re anticipating the future of mobility through networking.
What will Extreme do at its booth?
At booth 5K7 at the Fira Gran Via, Extreme will have two live demos.
During the “Reduce Meantime to Innocence via Distributed Packet Capture” demo, Extreme’s experts will explain solution components; including Workflow Composer, Insight Architecture and SLX platforms; as well as key benefits like reduced mean time to resolution, increased service level, improved operational efficiency and reduced costs.
At the “Maximize Service Levels with Automated Network Remediation” demo, a laser tag game will help team members explain how Workflow Composer increases service level, improves operational efficiency and reduces costs.
Additionally, because trends like AI, ML and IoT are going to be hot topics at the show, Extreme’s experts will speak with attendees about how the autonomous network is the first step in bringing the benefits of intelligent technologies to everyone.
