Liv Dieter Recognized as an IT Channel Rockstar

I’m excited to announce that CRN has named Extreme’s Global Partner Programs Manager Liv Dieter as one of the IT channel’s 100 People You Don’t Know But Should for 2022! This annual list recognizes professionals who work tirelessly behind the scenes to support their partners and the broader channel ecosystem.

I could not be prouder to see Liv on this list. She’s a true professional with a clear passion for the channel, desire to help partners succeed, and commitment to executing on and driving global channel programs.

Liv has been with Extreme for 6 years, and throughout her tenure has taken on many key responsibilities within the Partner Programs team. She has contributed to improving and supporting our reseller incentives, partner leveling and migration, specialization training, MDF support, and distribution programs. Before Extreme, Liv studied Business Engineering at TU Dresden in Germany and worked for a finance consulting firm.

Liv plays a crucial role in our partner training and enablement programs and has a tremendous impact on the work Extreme does to support our channel community. Congratulations to Liv on this well-deserved recognition! Your passion, drive, and commitment are admired across the company and by our channel community. Thank you for your fantastic efforts!

What drew you to Extreme 6 years ago?

I wanted to move to the IT and networking industry because technology’s influence in our lives is increasing, and it opens limitless possibilities and opportunities. I wanted to go somewhere established, but where I can still be part of something instead of being stuck in fixed structures. Extreme combined both and is clearly focused on being an industry leader that shapes future technology. Since I joined, we've grown and evolved so much, be it in portfolio and solution, standing or size with 16,000+ partners. Through all this, I have loved that Extreme provides an environment that allows individuals to grow, express their ideas, and make an impact.

What do you enjoy about working with Extreme’s channel community?

I'm fortunate to work with a lot of teams, as the Partner Programs team is very cross-functional. I also like working with our amazing channel partners across the world. People are very supportive and elevate each other. I have learned a lot through all these interactions, and it's always great to see everyone's drive and creativity to get to the best results.

What about Extreme’s Partner Program stands out to you?

Our Partner Program has evolved a lot over the past few years. One of the things that stands out to me is the successful migration of hundreds of partners into our Extreme Partner Network as Extreme has acquired various companies. Another thing that stands out is the ease of doing business with us and the offered transparency through all our partner-facing tools and resources. There are so many things to mention here, which is also a reason why our Partner Program has been honored with a 5-star rating by CRN for 9 consecutive years!

What do you like to do outside of work?

I enjoy spending my time with friends and family, biking, hiking (I live in a fairly flat area with lots of woods and lakes), traveling, and going to concerts. I have also moved twice in 2 years, so I’ve found a new love for renovating and DIY projects, which was also a good distraction during the COVID lockdown.
