“It was extremely excellent to hear from other schools and universities with similar network structure on how they overcome issues that we all face. The best part of conference was sharing solutions with others and hearing where Extreme Networks is headed.” – University CIO commenting on his experience at Extreme Connect 2018
This year, Extreme users from the education industry who attend Extreme Connect 2019 will gain special insight into preparing their Extreme Networks infrastructure and software for the autonomous campus. Of course, there are all the usual reasons to attend, which include learning from the Extreme experts, catching up on the latest product releases, comparing notes with industry peers, solving those enduring pesky problems, and meeting the executives. All told, Extreme Connect will provide the most productive three-days of network emersion ever. And while you are there, you’ll see why Nashville has become such a hot destination.
Here is a sample of the sessions you’ll be interested in attending at Extreme Connect 2019. Our education industry system engineers will be diving into Protecting and Monitoring Student Safety With Network Policy And Analytics. You can learn about migration with Strategy and Planning: Migrating Your Extreme WLAN To Smart OmniEdge. Get ready for the influx of devices, wearables, and sensors with Enhancing IoT Visibility & Security: What You Need To Know.

The education birds of a feather session on the final day of the Extreme Connect 2019 provides a forum to share your ideas and challenges, and see how others in education are solving theirs. The three-hour discussions are led by experienced industry experts like Ryan Turner, UNC-Chapel Hill’s manager of network operations, Bob Hartland, associate VP for IT infrastructure at Baylor University, and Brandon Sanspree of Bowling Green City Schools. You can submit your topics in advance or onsite, and the group will dig into them.
This year’s Connect theme is Future Forward — Glimpse Into The Future Of The Industry. Once again industry analysts from Gartner, ESG, and ZK Research will be on hand to read out from their crystal balls, based on all their customer interviews. Devin Akin, who recently joined Extreme Networks, will cover Next-Gen Wi-Fi 802.11ax and its impact on wireless networks, applications, and users.
