Fred Kirsch is the Publisher & Vice President of Content at Kraft Sports Productions. Fred was hired by the New England Patriots in January of 1995 for the express purpose of starting the team’s weekly newspaper. At the same time, the world wide web was exploding on the publishing scene. The Patriots quickly became the first sports team with a website in March of that same year and Fred oversaw not only that effort, but all the digital initiatives since then. It’s been an exciting journey with the rapid changes to content and how it’s delivered, all of which Fred has ushered in for the team. In 2012, the Patriots realized it was time to deliver content to fans in the stands and built their Wi-Fi network throughout Gillette Stadium along with Extreme Networks, another initiative that Fred helped deliver. By the way, the team still publishes that newspaper that he started in 1995.
