Joint Solution Summary
The joint Prosilient/Extreme Networks solution is a comprehensive multiservice transport
network combined with end to end Service Performance Management.
The solution is fully interrop tested to meet the requirements set by operators
running Mobile Backhaul, Metro Ethernet and Carrier Ethernet.
Prosilient provides the customers of Extreme Networks with a state of the art ETH-OAM
solution as well as L3 performance monitoring. The Prosilient partnership enables
Extreme Networks to provide unique properties in the ETH-OAM and L3 PM domain. The
unique features ranges from continuous monitoring of network performance utilizing
the Y.1731 ETH-OAM industry standards, to extensions of the standard unique to the
Prosilient solution, allowing full separation of up and downlink performance for
both ETH-OAM and L3 monitoring. The separation of up and downlink performance monitoring
is essential in Mobile Backhaul due to the asymmetrical traffic patterns in P-RAN
and H-RAN networks. Prosilient and Extreme ETH-OAM solution simplifies the otherwise
cumbersome provisioning of ETH-OAM.
