ODIN in the Data Center

Data Center Networking continues to evolve to be more challenging and costly as virtualization technologies layer over physical devices.  Networking technologies like Convergence and Fabrics are quickly being realized as major cost savings for data center connectivity.  Having open, interoperable and standard-based technologies can enhance these cost savings by allowing choice of best-of-breed technologies.  Interoperability and open standards can sometimes be tough to interpret in a mixed vendor environment.

Extreme Networks has a history of supporting open, interoperable and standard-based industry standards such as IEEE, IETF and ONF.  We are proud to work with industry leaders like IBM by contributing to the ODIN reference architecture for data center networking as a tool to interpret these open standards.
