This week I am headed out to the HIMSS16 Annual Conference and Exhibition hosted in Las Vegas, NV to see what 40,000+ health IT professionals, clinicians, executives, and vendors from around the world have to say about solving the healthcare problems of the world. Even if we can’t solve all the world’s issues, this is a great chance to compare notes and experiences on the latest IT solutions in healthcare.
Meeting and engaging with fellow attendees and IT decision makers.
I will be one of the 40,000+ attendees. That is a huge networking and learning opportunity. As a sales professional at Extreme Networks, with a focus in the healthcare industry, I speak with IT pros everyday to help them find solutions to their most pressing challenges in enhancing connected care.
Getting the chance to connect with and learn from fellow attendees, listening to their healthcare challenges, and offering approaches and solutions will be hugely beneficial in my role in Healthcare IT solutions at Extreme Networks. In the past few weeks leading up to HIMSS16 I have spoken with several healthIT pros that will also be attending including a prospect from Lakeland Surgical & Diagnostic Center who is planning on visiting Extreme’s booth #11452 to learn more about Extreme’s healthcare solutions. Having the opportunity to speak in-person with those I regularly interact with on the phone gives me the chance to really dive into the current issues faced by healthcare IT pros.
I will also be attending the millennial reception, on Wednesday May 2nd, which I found out about by attending a HIMSS webinar. It will be a great occasion to network with other IT millennials from around the world and to learn from every individual.
Don’t miss what Extreme has to offer at HIMSS16.
Powered by Extreme for the 3rd year in a row, the highly anticipated Intelligent Health Pavilion is a must-see for HIMSS16 attendees. This year it answers the question, how will the Internet of Things, connected health, digital health, and mHealth affect your patients, your job and your hospital’s competitiveness? In our booth #11452, there will be several Extreme industry experts ready to showcase Extreme’s newest IHP solutions. I’ll personally show you how Extreme Networks can effectively design, develop, and implement an IT infrastructure for your healthcare setting.
