A Need for Low-Latency, Scalable, Resilient, Secure Communications

Glasgow University finds flexibility and responsiveness for a research environment in Summit®.

This project involves building a network to be an important component in CERN’s international GridPP computer support grid, able to deliver 24/7 uptime with exceptional reliability and stability.

The Extreme Networks solution created an interconnection to form a resilient 160Gig ring and resilient 10Gig links to the campus network and JANET WAN, and a core service platform. With a single network operating system throughout, the network can easily be monitored and managed.
